Brandy's Favorites Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean, The King's Speech, The Adjustment Bureau, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Disney's Hercules, Inception, Harry Potter, and Easy A Just to name a few!TV Shows: LOST, Castle, The Crocodile Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Bachelor/Bachelorette.Food: I love all food, but I am particularly fond of seafood and sushi. And PIZZA of course!Travel Location: The beach, any beach is always a wonderful place... or Disneyland, that's always fun.Color: I suppose I'm more into earthy colors, blues, greens, and browns.Actors/Actresses: This is a long list so I'll just name a few. I admire Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Jackie Chan, James McAvoy, and the entire Harry Potter cast of course.Band: Switchfoot all the way, they are absolutely wonderful.Author: J. K. Rowling hands down! Rick Riordan too.Animal: I love all animals, even the creepy or dangerous ones. I have a definite fondness for Crocs and Wolves especially.Books: Harry Potter, Steve & Me, Percy Jackson, Wolves at our Door, Where the Red Fern Grows, Pride & Prejudice, The Last Dog on Earth, Child of the Wolves, And Then There Were None, The Hunger Games Trilogy, One Piece (it's a manga technically, but oh well).

Brandy Jensen was born a twin on December 14, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the youngest of five children. She began writing stories at an early age, beginning her first novel in 2006. From 3rd grade and on, Brandy received awards in County competitions and a concrete foundation in writing. Throughout High School, she took Honors and Advanced Placement English classes and spent some time writing for the school paper. Her first published piece of writing was a poem in The Anthology of Poetry for Young Americans 2007 dedicated to Steve Irwin. Including writing, Brandy enjoys Acting, 3D Animation, Film Production, and working with animals. A recent High School graduate, she is currently working on her novels and acting as the Co-Founder of Seeing Double Productions while attending college.

Q: How do you come up with the ideas for your novels?A: "Ideas strike me all the time in various places, from my living room to the grocery store -- it doesn't matter where I am! Inspiration can hit me without warning and I just know by now to write ideas down when it does."Q: Do you ever base your books on your own life?A: "That is always an interesting idea to me. I don't believe I am nearly as exciting or adventurous as my characters, so in that aspect . . . no, they aren't like me. However, I find it necessary to give the people I create the feeling of a real human being which is why I base them off of myself and anyone I know somewhat." Q: Is it true that you came up with The Guardian Angel Series in a dream?A: "It was a nightmare actually! I had a terrible nightmare that I was in Aly's place in Chapter 2 of My Guardian, My Angel, and the first thing I did when I woke up was write it down. The scene stuck with me so much that I developed a story around it and created Alyson, Hilder, and The Guardian."Q: Did you originally intend The Guardian and Alyson's story to be a trilogy?A: "Not in the least. When I reached the concluding chapters to the first novel, I had an epiphany: "These characters are too wonderful to just end it there!" I love the dynamic of these two characters and their stories so I wanted to continue with them. Nearly six years later and it still feels too soon for their journeys to end!"Q: What is your best way to fix "Writer's Block"?A: "Oh, the dreaded Writer's Block! There is no clear wat to fix it, Writer's Block is when your mind just doesn't want to create for a while (Sometimes a long while). When it comes to that dreaded curse, I find the best way to get rid of it faster is to combat it head on. Writing exercises help!"* *Check out the "Interact" Page for Writing ExercisesQ: Do you always write your books from beginning to end?A: "I almost NEVER write my books from the beginning. When I come up with a book, I imagine a random scene first and that is what I base my plot around. It is a very rare moment when I base an idea on an introducing scene."Q: What do you prefer to write: Novels or Screenplays?A: "I love them both, but for very different reasons. Novels allow you a certain emotional, and imaginative journey through the lives of characters. You see what they see and you think and feel what those characters do. In screenplays, you see what happens. You focus less on creating an image in your mind because it's created for you and you focus more on the physical aspect of the characters and the story. They each have their set of challenges, but novels take your deeper into the story while film makes it a reality. So novels, definitely novels."
